Essay

The thesis concerns the problem of modern cultivation (amelioration) of acid soils. For this problem the ways of solving are theoretically grounded, directed onto soil's productivity increase, resource saving and ecology safety. The role of humus acids is put to light concerning the soil's acid-base regime self-regulation induced by the humus acid's ability to bind aluminum into the stable aluminum-humus complexes and also by their inherent buffer properties against acids and bases. On the grounds of the buffer capacity indices (characteristics) determination the methodology is proposed for carrying on the diagnosing, predicting and optimization of acid soil's agroecology condition. The methodology is amended for the fertilizers and ameliorants rating with the use of the buffer capacity graphic models.
