Essay

The dissertation presents the conception of a phenomenon of speech activity and its psycholinguistic development in the personality of a pre-schoolchild. On the base of the results of psychological investigation speech activity is re-garded as a psycholinguistic and metaligvopsychological formation of vocal indi-viduality, as a many measured phenomenon that has hierarchical and phase construc-tion and also has in its structure the motivational, intentional, purpose forming, inner programming and lexico-grammatical components. It correlates with notions "utter-ance", "text", "discourse", "communication", "intercourse", "subject of public rela-tion". The necessity of a systemic approach to moulding a child as a subject of oral speech activity is theoretically grounded and experimentally corroborated. According to such approach the development of speech activity is realized in the unity of its in-ner and outer operations and actions with the orientation on the development of a pre-schoolchild as a vocal individuality, especially on the becoming of his/her sense forming and sense formulating motives-purposes as a reliable ground for shaping a subject of a public utterance and his speech and educational skills, abilities and com-municative qualities.
