Essay

Object – speech activity of older pre-school children. Purpose - is to research and theoretical justification of the conceptual framework and experimental methods of developing the vocabulary of older pre-school children in different language skills (art speech, academic speech, playing speech) based on multilevel lexical organization of work and educational environment for its implementation. Methods – theoretical, empirical, statistical. Theoretical results and novelty – the conceptual basis of organizing teaching vocabulary in the preschool institution (scientific approaches, principles) are worked out and scientifically substantiated; the model of developing the vocabulary of older pre-school children is developed and the efficiency of its methodical support is experimentally approved; pedagogical terms are specified and theoretically grounded (creating positive emotional background and dipping children in language communicative surrounding, abidance of the sequence of steps developing the vocabulary of older pre-school children (dipping, orientation differentiation, active using) with the priority of individual vocabulary work forms on group ones, integration of purposeful vocabulary work in different language skills (academic speech, art speech, playing speech), interaction of pre-school studying establishment and parents on developing vocabulary); the essence of the concept "the developing the vocabulary of older pre-school children" is solved from the standpoint of different scientific approaches; the features of understanding of words’ meaning and using of them by children in various kinds of speech activity are specified; criteria, trends and development stages of acquisition the vocabulary by older pre-school children are defined; the notions "word", "vocabulary", "lexical meaning", "vocabulary work", quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the vocabulary of older pre-school children are clarified. Theory and methods of vocabulary work wits older pre-school children had further development. Practical results – the experimental methods of developing the vocabulary of older pre-school children in different language skills in the practice of pre-school studying establishments was developed. The system of work, based on the assimilation of children vocabulary level of awareness and use of words in speech was offered. The textbook on "Technology of developing the vocabulary of older pre-school children" was prepared. The program was developed and the work of continuously effective workshop for teachers of preschool education "Organization of vocabulary work in pre-school studying establishment" was started. The level of adoption is high. The sphere (field) of employment is pedagogical, pre-school studying establishments, higher teacher-training institutes, pedagogical colleges, institutions of postgraduate education of teachers.
