Essay

The thesis devoted to the creating and implementing a systematic approach of DNA technology in a system of quality control and safety of livestock products in Ukraine. The existing methods of molecular genetic were developed to detect dangerous viral diseases of animals as Enzootic bovine leucosis, Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome, Avian influenza. The techniques of determining gene SNP K-CSN and DGAT in cattle was proposed by real-time PCR using fluorescently labeled oligonucleotides, as well as identification of genotypes of pigs on the genes of ESR and MC4R. The methods for study of genetic structure of cattle and horses by microsatellite markers and genetic identification of horses through the use of panels microsatellite markers were developed. It was developed diagnostic kits for determining the quality of meat and species identification in different foods, refined technique for determining the presence of genetically modified organisms using polymerase chain reaction in real-time, it was optimized the method of identification of genetically modified organisms (ingredients). The recombinant technology for production of biologically active substances in heterologous expression systems (bovine gamma interferon expression in bacterial system of E.coli) was improved. It was optimized biotechnological process for viral antigen analogues in transgenic plants (N. tabacum) as an example of the surface antigen of the Bluetongue virus VP7.
