Essay

The dissertation studies language signs that verbalize the elements of mythic space (MS). The latter is defined as a verbally mediated informational continuum comprising situational hierarchies of mythic concepts united into mythic scenarios. MS is regarded as the container of interpreter-type signs involved into the myth-oriented semiosis. The said signs as phenomena of precedent character reflect the knowledge of once primary configuration of the world. Myth-oriented semiosis is regarded as the premises of creating rational models of the world-view, developing national culture, cognitive and communicative practices. Recurrent interpretations of mythic information provide national cultures' consistence and sustainability. Language units denoting elements of MS are thus treated off as fractals that function as basic operators defining verbally created worlds' configuration. At the same time, diachronic verbalisations of Ms's elements cause the signs' features fluctuations that form conceptual attractors which determine specific ethnic types of world views.
