Izvarina O. Opera as the Phenomenon of Ukrainian Art Culture of the 60-ies XIX- the First third of XX Centuries: the Historical Aspect

This thesis is a first executed historical-epistemological approach to the Ukrainian opera art as the phenomenon of national culture. The comprehensive considering of philosophic-cultural and historiography paradigms of history of Ukrainian opera art is proposed, its interdependence with the practical-creative experience of Ukrainian art culture of the 60-ies of XIX - the first third of the XX century is proposed. Opera is revealed as musical-theatrical reflection of dominant ideas - historical a priori - existential-meaning intentions of the Ukrainian culture of corresponding era, features of historical becoming of Ukrainian opera art are highlight with socio-cultural positions. According to analysis of musical criticism thoughts of mentioned period, the features of Ukrainian composers' art, opera librettos, director's decision and scenography, famous opera singers' vocal skills are identified. The thesis highlights the stage destiny of opera works, its importance for the further development of national opera art, properties of musical criticism thoughts about opera production and genre specificity of Ukrainian opera art, functioning of leading opera theatres of the mentioned period. The creative activities of Ukrainian opera art in the social and cultural conditions of the 60-ies of XIX - the first third of the XX century is detected, the ability of Ukrainian opera art to the comprehensive developing into contemporary historical conditions is proved.
