The thesis grounded theoretical and methodological approaches to the teaching of thermodynamics on the basis of consistent statistical physics teaching in higher establishments in channeling efforts of the state in order to achieve the efficiency of higher education as a major factor in the successful socialization and professional activities of graduates is grounded in it. For the first time in the educational literature there has been substantiated that the laws of thermodynamics and their consequences are consequences of the properties of space and time and the statistical regularities inherent for all systems with a large number of structural elements. There has been elaborated of methodical system of integrated education course "Thermodynamics and Statistical Physics" of the future teachers of physics which is based on fundamental principles, visual aids, deductive and problem-based approaches in the educational process. The structure of the course "Statistical Thermodynamics" for the students specializing Physics in higher pedagogical education at establishments is worked out which fully meets the modern matter of theoretical physics as a science as well as a range of teaching methods of theoretical physics.
