Essay

The thesis deals with the development of the theoretical and methodical foundations of preparing intending teachers for teaching foreign languages to pupils of a profession-oriented school. By means of solving the objectives traced in the research paper the specific character of high school pupils’ profession-oriented foreign language education has been determined along with the peculiarities of the foreign languages teacher’s professional and methodical activities at a profession-oriented school, the structure and content of his / her methodical readiness for foreign languages profession-oriented teaching senior pupils. As a result of considering a methodical task as a minimal unit of the professional and methodical activities the most typical tasks that the foreign languages teacher should solve at his / her lessons and during extracurricular work at a profession-oriented school have been singled out. On the basis of competency building approach special object (integral, pragmatic, reflexive and info rmational) and personal (self-completion and psychotherapeutic culture) competences have been defined. In the interconnection with key, common object and common methodical competences they provide a necessary standard of the foreign languages teacher’s methodical readiness for the determination of the professional tasks succession at a profession-oriented school.
