Essay

Goal - expanding of theoretical foundations of reconstructive work and creation of a holistic methodological mechanism of research and modeling of processes and substantiation of developing of programs and projects for the reconstruction of the city. Object - the city as a complex socio-technical system. Methods - statistical analysis, morphological analysis, functional and spatial analysis, planning analysis, mathematical modeling, experimental design. Results - expanded the theoretical foundations and improved the methodological apparatus of research of city redevelopment processes as form of its existence adequate to the complex of external and immanent social and economic factors; clearly differentiated and defined goal, content and objects of reconstructive work types in the city; first time given the system classification of reconstruction types, formulated their goals and proposed integrated model of complex reconstruction of the city as a system of interrelated and complementary forms and types of reconstruction; first time defined forms (models) of reconstructive work and formulated their content and purpose; proposed new approaches to the development and improvement of the regulatory framework according to established forms (models) of reconstructive work to ensure a balanced development of the city; developed a method for selecting of direction of priority reconstructive actions, followed by the deployment of processes of complex reconstruction of the city ("trigger" effect) using models of dispersion and comparative analysis (optimization approach); proposed a mathematically substantiated methods for selecting of a efficient variant of design solutions for complex reconstruction of the city. Field of application - urban development and territorial planning.
