Synhayivska O. Information Support for Town Planning Systems Development Control

Object of research - town planning systems - socio-ecological systems as objects of town and territorial planning. Purpose of research - to develop structural and functional models of information support for town planning systems (socio-ecological systems) development control. Methodology of research - (a) principles and rules of the general theory of systems and its applied branches such as system analysis, ontology, and set theory modeling; (b) comparative analysis; (c) logical modeling of town planning objects; and (d) methods of experimental design. Novelty of the Main Theoretical and Practical Research Results - (1) Theory and methodology of the development and management of town planning information systems; (2) Classification of structural elements of town planning systems unified on the basis of an ontological approach and harmonized with the classification standards of Ukraine and the European Union; (3) Structural model of information support of town planning systems development control processes; (4) Graphic system of conventional signs in town planning documentation for the standard set of design and planning works; (5) The basis of the town planning thesaurus - (a) ontological model of the subject and object of town planning activity; (b) structured listing of attributes required and sufficient for town planning research and design; (6) Structure of factors and conditions that determine the behavior of town planning object in space and time; (7) Methodology of defining a town planning research and a town planning design object; the basic conceptions of town planning research as elaborated on the basis of an ontological approach. Validity and soundness of scientific results of the research are corroborated by the introduction into practice of town planning design in 1992-2013 of a total of 12 scientific research and design projects, of which in nine O.I. Synhayivska was chief executing officer, and in three, research/project supervisor. There are four Practical Introduction Certificates and three Certificates of Authorship. The above works listed include two National Standards of Ukraine and one set of State Building Norms of Ukraine; validation of composition and content of the development and management of a town planning cadaster system in Kyiv; the historico-architectural and historico-town-planning basic plans for the city of Kyiv; Master Plan for the Development of the City of Kyiv… Until 2025; and scientific and methodological principles of reconstruction of the core territory of Kyiv, to list a few. The said projects were performed by leading Ukrainian design bureaus to orders from the Ukrainian Ministry of Regional Construction. Those design bureaus include - DNDITIAM; DNDIPM Dipromisto; NDIGK; KO Town Planning and Architecture Center of the Kyiv City State Administration; and design teams of the Chair of Urban Construction of the KNUBA. Sphere (industry) of application - (1) applied research works; (2) actual urban construction design; (3) development and approval of town planning documents; (4) development and management of town planning cadasters; (5) improvement of the existing and development of a new regulatory framework; (6) training and methodological materials for use in higher education establishments according to the specialties "Urban Construction and Economy" and "Town Planning".
