Galchuk O. The artistic transformation of the Antiquity in Ukrainian poetry of 1920-1930s: typological models.

This thesis is the first systemic and analytic study of Ukrainian poetry of 1920-1930- ics in aspect of artistic reception and transformation of the antique text in it. The lyric poetry of authors, whose work is an icon for various types and styles of the age of late modernism in general and for the modernistic phase in Ukrainian antiquity's development in particular; was analyzed by clarifying the terminology matrix and applying the complex of methods, particularly the methods of comparative interpretation and hypothetical comment. The terminology that is connected to the understanding of antiquity as a member of intertextual dialogue was refined and codified in the thesis. The informative content of the concept of Ukrainian antiquity was defined and the necessity of its historical discourse was substantiated. The abstract research of antiquity resonance in Ukrainian literature generalizes that the phenomenon of Ukrainian antiquity, peculiarity of which is the reading of the untique text in the light of pagan and Christian elements of art, was formed on the interaction of the main reception streams, such as cultural and philological, historiosophical, scientific and analytical, literary and artistic stream.
