Essay

The research is devoted to the study of the current state and prospect development of criminalistics as an integrative science and the definition of its place in the system of law. Based on the analysis of the history of scientific knowledge concerning the nature and subject of criminalistics, the paper has improved the definition of this science. The analysis of the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, 2012 and the practice of their implementation indicates the necessity of a separate legal regulation for forensic activity of the authorized actors by highlighting the "Special Part" in the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
