Kaminska N. European system of local and regional self-government (international legal framework for the establishment, operation and development).

The thesis is devoted to the legal analysis of process of formation, functioning and development of the European system of local and regional self-government. The work examines the principles and fundamentals, actors, mechanisms of realization of the given system. The author analyzes the main international legal acts that constitute its base of sources. The role of the EU, Council of Europe, the OSCE and other organizations in the process of formation of the mentioned systems is highlighted. Meanwhile, according to the author?s concept of the establishment of the European system of local and regional self-government European municipal law is defined. It can be seen as a branch of law, science and industry, relevant academic discipline. The place of Ukraine in the European system of local and regional self-government, its role and value, prospects for the improvement of national legislation in this field is outlined in the work.
