Borysenko V. Biliary sepsis: pathogenesis, diagnostics and treatment peculiarities

Peculiarities of mechanical jaundice, acute cholangitis, biliary sepsis and biliary septic shock were studied in experiment on 132 rats. Two principally new models of acute cholangitis and biliary sepsis which allowed clarifying the ways of bacteriocholia as well as installing new local factors of acute cholangitis progressing, portal and system endotoxemia and bacteriemia development were worked out. The use of complex examination and treatment program of the patients with mechanical jaundice, acute cholangitis, biliary sepsis allowed improving the treatment results of the patients with post-operative rate decrease from 31,5% to 22,2%, lower general mortality under mechanical jaundiced from 6,6 % to 4,4%, and under miliary sepsis from 30% to 20%.
