Geo-economic transformations as new civilization direction of development for global economic relations are considered and studied in the thesis. The definition of geo-economic transformations as economic phenomenon is formulated on the basis of applying the multilevel methodology of geo-economic development; their classification is developed as a result of the generalization of relevant approaches to the systematization of transformation processes. The systematization of conceptual approaches to geo-economic structure of the world space in terms of world-system paradigm is implemented; its post-bipolar nature is proved. The factors of geo-economic development are analyzed; the contradiction system of the world economy is established in the light of the interests of the main subjects of modern geo-economic relations. The nature of geo-economic transformations in crisis finance environment is revealed through their analysis at global, regional, national and micro-levels; global transformations are studied according to sectors. Regional dimensions of geo-economic transformations due to the separation of countries on geo-economic coalitions are distinguished; the consequences of participation in them are analyzed. The role of macroeconomic structures in multi-polar geo-economic space is determined on the basis of distinguishing the scientific approaches of top priority: institutional, geo-economic and neo-liberal. The macroeconomic component of geo-economic changes is shown through the trans-nationalization of the world economy and the gradual change of TNC place in the system of geo-economic relations. The methodical approach to the investigation of financial crises is improved; it implies their division into groups depending on reasons; the mechanism of spreading the world financial crises is revealed on the basis of the construction of economic-mathematical model. The effect consequences of the world financial crises on the transformation of geo-economic space are identified; the asymmetry of the world economic development is analyzed in terms of the world financial crises by means of random matrices theory, graph theory and minimum spanning trees.
