Methodological approaches toward the study of the internationalisation and economic globalisation were analysed and generalised on the basis of their genesis and synthesis. Pre-conditions for the modern global economic transformations have been covered, and their nature has been disclosed. The economic essence, nature and reproductive potential of the investment process under the conditions of globalisation have been revealed. Investment resources of the global economy have been subjected to the criterion evaluation, and systemised. Patterns and novel trends of the global investment market development have been detected. The methodology of the globalisation of savings, accruals and investments has been studied. Key features of the global investment process have been clarified; its competitive priorities of innovative nature have been determined; key trends of its development have been covered and generalised. Elements, properties and functions of the global investment environment have been identified; its specific parameters have been analysed and evaluated; novel structural organisation trends have been detected. The development trends of the global investment process have been subjected to the empirical analysis and simulation. Key macroeconomic factors dictating volumes, trends and directions of the direct foreign investments have been detected. A comprehensive analytical assessment of the condition and the reproductive specifics of the investment process in Ukraine has been undertaken. The role of foreign investments in the modernisation of the national economy has been determined; principles and the format of the country's investment strategy under conditions of the global economic entropy have been substantiated.
