Essay

Object: archaeological attractions of I-XIII centuries in south of Eastern Europe. Objective: description and analysis of the production aspect of economic activity of the population south of Eastern Europe I-XIII centuries based on archaeological materials with involving of written, ethnographic sources and data of natural sciences. Methods: analytical, typological, comparative, retrospective, theoretical modeling, paleoeconomic analysis. Results: for the first time created a number of archaeological features of auxiliary crafts and trades (ACT), produced scale of levels of its differentiation and specialization, interpreted (and re-interpreted) as a facilities and complexes of ACT hundreds of investigated objects in Eastern and Central Europe from the Chalcolithic period to the late Middle Ages, improved (produced for some manufacturing industries) methods of field and theoretical isolation of ACT, reasonably proved the existence of a sufficient level of knowledge and industrial relations in the population of this region of Europe for borrowing, implementation and achievements broadcasts neighboring civilizational societies in trades and subsidiary crafts, concludes the direct and indirect dependence level of ACT from the specific historical, economic and social conditions prevailing in ancient societies. Scope: for writing of generalizing and popular scientific works from ancient and medieval history of Ukraine, the characteristics of the economy of ancient societies in the course of lectures, complement the relevant sections of museum exhibitions, especially skansens.
