Essay

The thesis is the analysis of theoretical works of G. E. Lessing with accentuation on provisions substantiated by German scientist in the field of theater and drama. The author proposes the concept of studying classical heritage of the German thinker, based on revealing of projections of thinker's theoretical ideas and their interpretation in the scientific and artistic practice of later centuries. During the analysis of aesthetic and art-studying heritage of G. E. Lessing, it is first used an interdisciplinary approach, which provided a comprehensive review of educator's views on art, including theater, and also enabled to trace close relationship of his cultural, aesthetic and art studying ideas and represent a potential of theoretical ideas of Lessing in the dynamics of cultural creation. The research experience of studying of Lessing's works in European humanities is actualized; conceptual and categorical framework and methodological guidelines of Lessing are systematized.
