Essay

This thesis focuses on the phenomenon of adult education and its conceptualization on the basis of transdisciplinary approach. The features of adult learning, the dynamics of its theoretical articulation are examined. The philosophical and methodological foundations of the contemporary adult education theory in a historical and philosophical context, and also in the context of modern cognitive and communicative strategies are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the theory of transformative adult learning as relevant in the age of global transformations. The transformative adult education is conceptualized on the basis of the theory of complexity; the projects of transversal and nomadological thinking; concept of transculturality and phenomenology of liminal experience.
