The dissertation is devoted the development of the theory and methodology for the consequences prediction of engineering preparation for transformation the urban territory in dense building and complex geology conditions for the city zoning depending on the risk exposure degree, and further substantiate decisions on reconstruction of urban facilities, development of urban engineering and territorial planning principles for preservation of historic buildings, engineering protection of urban areas, the safe and efficient development of built-up areas and their rational planning. The theory and methods have been developed for the numerical modeling of stress-strain state of the grounds and the stability assessment of the urban territory sites during the engineering preparation. Experimental researches of the system "new construction - strengthening structures - existing building" interaction have been carried out for the urban areas reconstruction with dense buildings and complex geology on the Kiev real objects examples. A system of criteria has been created for risk assessment and consequences prediction of the urban areas transformation, that is based on a comprehensive analysis of the urban area geotechnical parameters, the surrounding buildings situation, and the planned construction. The principles of urban areas zoning have been developed for the planning and safe performing their conversion and consequences prediction depending on the geotechnical properties of the territory, characteristics of existing buildings and new construction options, considering the risk degree.
