Essay

Object: traditional ritualism of Slavic ethnic groups. Objective: complex scientific reconstruction of the peculiarities of clay products functioning as traditional element of Slavic ethnic groups ritualism on an example of calendar holidays – Vyatka Svistoplyaska and Krakow Renkavka. Methods: comparative-historical, historical development, structural and functional, semantic and paleontological. Results: for the first time on the basis of written, ethnographic, folk and ceramological sources the role and functions of clay products in Vyatka Svistoplyaska and Krakow Renkavka are studied, the historiography of this Slavic ritual complexes, its directions and tendencies are critically analyzed, ethnic and local features of its holidays are established, their consecutive way from the pagan celebrations to the Christian festive day, city fun, children's holiday is traced, an explanation of its ritual complexes as celebrations in honor of their ancestors and the god of thunder Perun is proposed, improved understanding of the historical background of calendar ceremonial complex, knowledge about evolution, which from religious objects, traditional calendar symbols to toys, children's toys, to souvenir and author's artistic products the clay plastic held in Slavic ethnic groups, including Ukrainians. Scope of application: developing of lectures courses and research on ceramology, ethnology, folklore, cultural anthropology, social history, and during the creation of generalized works on Ukrainian and world ethnology.
