Informatization and globalization of the contemporary social processes, which cause changes in the area of intersection and interaction of the personal and the social in man are particularly important in the period of adolescence, which is especially sensitive to social changes and the specific historical circumstances of the development of society. The author presents the results of empirical operationalization and validation of the concept of psychosocial development. The paper reveals the theoretical and methodological approaches to study the phenomenon of the concept of psychosocial development; definition of its psychological content, patterns, structure and dynamics in the period of adolescent age. The concept represents the author's vision of the concept of psychosocial development. The work presents the philosophical and psychological substantiation of the essence of psychosocial problems and categories of psychosocial development at all levels of analysis: the level of philosophical methodology, the level of general scientific principles and forms of research, the level of concrete scientific methodology, the level of psychological methods and techniques of research. Psychosocial development is viewed as the concept of the integrative type; its operationalization is based on the rational-empirical strategy of data collection. The author implements the requirement of unity of methodology, theory and experiment.
