Essay

The dissertation represents the first specialized study of the molecular phylogeny and morphological evolution of myxomycetes of the family Reticulariaceae. As a result, the critical revision of the family was carried out, 17 new taxa were described or revised, the unknown variants of the structure of sporophores were characterized, the hypothesis of cosmopolite distribution is disproved, the main stages of the evolution of the fruiting bodies are described, ancestral forms are characterized, the first classification of the life-forms of Reticulariaceae and the first phylogenetic classification of Myxomycetes were developed.
