Essay

The purpose of the study is to develop methodological foundations for sustainable development of ecological-town-planning systems. The object of the study is ecological-town-planning system as a multilevel area of population interaction with the environment within which it is possible to ensure conditions of sustainable development. The subject of the study is methodological basis of sustainable development of ecological-town-planningsystems.The research methods: the systematic approach, the methods ofmodeling, comparative, typological, graphic-analytical and statistical analysis, experimental design. The scientific novelty: the author substantiated a new direction of town-planning science - "the wave urbanistics"; the ecological-town-planning system were consideredas integratedmultilevel area of population interaction with the environment within which environmentally balancedsustainable developmentis; the definition of "sustainable development" by criteria of wave process was improvedand the possibility of application of the fundamental law of a sustainable development of open systems - the power conservation law to meet the challenges of regional planningwere explored; the author determined the eco-physical nature of urbanization as the accelerator of wave processesof multi-level development, which action aims to local overcome the limits of growth, leading to self-organizationat the urban level and self-regulation at the regional level;for the first timethe author defined the spatial and temporal dimensions of development indicators of ecological-town-planning systems; the author formulated the principles of formation and adapted management of its sustainable development using the power of positive feedback; defined calculated indicators and phases parameters and phase transitions in oscillatory developmentcyclesof ecological-town-planningsystems; the author has worked out the methods of analysis and evaluation of the current state and future direction of its changes; the author proposed and experimentally verifiedthe concept of adapted sustainability management. The results of the study are implemented into the sphere of scientific researches, into the practice of town-planning and spatial planning, into justification of managerial decisions, into the educational process.
