In this thesis the theoretical and methodological basics of forming methodological competence of future teachers of French during their independent work in information and communication learning environment are grounded. The basics are implemented in the concept of forming methodological competence of future teachers of French in their independent work. This competence includes the content and structure of methodological competence, types of independent student work in information and communication learning environment as well as the content and structure of information and communication learning environment itself, typology of educational and methodological tasks for forming methodological skills in organizing practical classes, independent and extracurricular student work in studying French and its kinds, and the model of independent work of forming methodological competence of future teachers of French. The learning tools for methodological knowledge acquisition are defined as different types of tasks for forming and developing methodological skills which are educational and methodological tasks performed by undergraduates while implementing their individual locus in information and communication learning environment. In this work the functions and assessment types of the process and results of forming the methodological competence during undergraduates’ independent work as well as evaluation criteria of their methodological skills are singled out.
