Essay

This thesis reveals the complicated process of the formation and development of zoogeography and its ornithological aspect in Ukraine as part of European and world natural history. The spatiotemporal continuum of the ornithological aspect is examined in terms of qualitative and quantitative changes in institutional and organizational structures, the interaction of the university, public and scientific constituents of sociocultural space. The thesis defines the integrity and continuity of the formation of zoogeography as a sociocultural phenomenon and the dual nature of this process displayed in the influence on and by society through political, social and economic factors. The thesis shows the contribution of zoogeographers to the development of science in the context of moral and ethical values.
