To achieve this purpose a scientific problem and complex of scientific tasks has been solved in this work, such as a comprehensive analysis of the traction substations technical condition of the railway power supply system has been carried out; the methods and models for prediction and calculation of the indicators of power equipment maintainability have been improved; the model of risk analysis of traction substation power equipment technical condition and the method for increasing the equipment maintainability has been developed; the mathematical model for calculating and predicting the remaining life of traction substation power equipment has been improved; the methods raising the quality and efficiency of the maintenance and repair system of traction substation power equipment on the basis of continuous improvement have been developed; the method and the comprehensive index for quality assessment of the maintenance and repair system of traction substation power equipment has been developed.
