Essay

The dissertation dwells on comprehensive and systematic study of legal, theoretical and practical problems associated with the emergence and development of criminal process functions of a prosecutor in a pre-trial investigation, their essence, role, inter-determination, classification and systematic interaction. It has been found out that a prosecutor's activity in a pre-trial investigation is a multifunctional one. The functions of a prosecutor, who is a society representative and performs the state function of fighting against crimes and acts on the grounds of completion, constitute: the preparing state prosecution, supervision of legality, process supervision, dysfunctions and latent functions.
