Breusenko-Kuznetsov O. Metaphysical tradition in the system of foundations of psychology of personality.

The dissertation presents a solution to the problem of reconstruction of the namely psychological content of the theories of personality belonging to the artificially interrupted metaphysical tradition, with the purpose to reconstruct a system of the theoretical and methodological foundations of psychology of personality involving its achievements. The system of foundations of psychology of personality has been considered at methodological, theoretical, historical-psychological levels whose reflection involves the consistently applied principle of methodological pluralism. The issue of scientific character of metaphysical theories of personality is a particular case of the question of scientific character of metaphysical theories in general. It is known that the taboo on metaphysical studies refers to the basic postulates of positivism which dominated in the philosophy of science in the 20th century. We made a conclusion representation about unscientific nature of metaphysical theories of personality entirely and completely belongs to ideology of scientism and submits to the "demarcation" logics in narrow frameworks of positivistic outlook. As the monopolism of positivistic methodology in psychology is a temporary phenomenon, and in the field of psychology of personality it is not realized, the refusal to metaphysical theories of personality in their right to scientific character lies within the domain of historical fortuity.
