Shvydkyy S. Traditional Folk Knowledge of Slobozhanshchyna Population From the Points of View of Protection of culture, Learning and Outlook

In the dissertation the author comprehensively investigated the formation and development of traditional knowledge as a component of ethnocultural heritage of Sloboda Ukraine people, their place in the system of organization and maintenance of vital functions of aforementioned society. The features of the functioning of various forms of traditional knowledge as a manifestation of the human desire to know the environment and to have an influence on it are also defined. The author ascertained the transformation of traditional medicine as an element of the traditional knowledge of the Sloboda Ukraine population against the progress of scientific knowledge and deepening of general civilizational processes and specified the area of existence of certain phenomena. The author also determined the historical background of formation and development of ethnocultural features of the studied region, a set of traditional knowledge as a form of cultural expression and the components of intangible heritage.
