The dissertation casts light on the history and principal artistic peculiarities of carved wooden objects used in religious worship in interiors of temples in Galicia. The sources for the research comprised materials, collected by the author directly in the interiors of Galician churches. The field studies are supplemented with the exhibits from the museum funds and private collections, as well as from church and private archives.
