Theoretical and methodical basics for the formation of professional technical interpreters in universities are set in the dissertation. The conceptual model of professional training of interpreters of professional technical direction in higher schools has been founded. The domestic and foreign experience of interpreters of professional technical direction of training system formation and development were analyzed in the work. A multi-layered structure for the training of highly qualified competitive specialists has been developed. The author has performed various sources analysis that allowed him to determine the ratio of understanding by the interpreters of professional technical direction such concepts as "competence", "expertise" and "professional competence". Basing on the analysis, the author has offered a generalized structure of a technical translator professional competence, which is a set of functional competences in the general, scientific, professional, individual psychological and social relations areas of translation. The structure of training specialists in technical translation system has been disclosed in the work, which takes into account the requirements of the Bologna Declaration and is aimed at the formation of professional competence of university graduates. The major activities for the bachelor's and master's degrees in technical translation have been determined. Theoretical and methodological analysis presented in the study has made it possible to identify the main features of the interpreters of professional technical direction training system for transfer of it onto competence basis. Those are educational, informative, innovative activities, research and diagnostic and motivational functions. The paper presents a generalized dynamic model of the future expert in technical translation as well as their further professional competence development. The proposed model is aimed at improving logistics and staffing in the framework of the educational process. In order to assess the interpreters of professional technical direction quality of training, the author has proposed note-taking system for the translations and interpretation SISKON recording algorithm. Also criteria and algorithms for evaluating the quality of technical translations of the future experts both in real time and throughout the whole training period are offered.
