Essay

The object – the choral culture of the Orthodox tradition. The complex research of precentorial activity as a systemic phenomenon of the Orthodox choral culture of the borders of the XX - XXI centuries on Eurasian territories is carried out. The concept of precentorial studies as a specific interdisciplinary direction of humanitarian (art) knowledge is developed, which, with the help of a culturological approach, allows overcoming the distance between religious and musical aspects of the study of precentorial activity.
