Object – physical rehabilitation of women with post-mastectomy syndrome; aim – theoretical and methodological substantiation of the concept of physical rehabilitation of women with post-mastectomy syndrome and implementation of its provisions; methods – theoretical research level: analysis, comparison, induction, deduction, systematization and generalization of scientific and methodological literature, regulatory documents and information resources of the Internet on the problem of physical rehabilitation of women with post-mastectomy syndrome; empirical research level: sociological (survey by the hospital anxiety and depression scale, FACT-B + 4, MOS SF-36, questionnaire for determining the type of attitude towards the disease); analysis of documentary materials (case histories and outpatient cards); pedagogical observation, pedagogical experiment; instrumental techniques for obtaining empirical data (computer spirography, heart rate variability analysis, rheography, tonometry, dynamometry, sensitivity testing, anthropometry, pain estimation using the McGill questionnaire and visual analogue scale, functional tests of Stange and Gentcha, Skibinsky index, determination of physical state level by A. Pirogova, mathematical statistics (correlation, regression, factor analysis, parametric and nonparametric methods for estimating statistical hypotheses); novelty – the conception of physical rehabilitation of women with post-mastectomy syndrome has been substantiated for the first time, which allows to standardize the structure and content of applied rehabilitation means in accordance with the stages of the recovery period; first developed method for estimating the predicted level of functional state of the cardiovascular system of women with post-mastectomy syndrome has based on age and objective indicators of central hemodynamics: heart rate, minute volume of blood and left ventricular work, as well as their significant contribution to overall predicted level; results – it has been firstly developed differentiated problem-oriented and personality-oriented rehabilitation programs for patients with post-mastectomy syndrome taking into account the person’s preferences of the woman, a reasonable choice of methods and means of physical rehabilitation for the course of postoperative period, age, features of physical, functional, psycho-emotional condition, presence of concomitant pathology, type of attitude to the disease, type of surgical intervention; the results of scientific research were introduced into studies of students of higher education institutions and the work of specialized institutions; field – physical education and sport.
