The thesis is devoted to the development of holistic concept of counseling psychology of specialists of extreme activity profile, its theory, methodology and psychotechnology. The systematic analysis of counseling psychology as a multidimensional phenomenon is observed in the thesis. The aim of this research is to theoretical development of the concept and testing of psycho-technology consulting specialist extreme profile of activity. To achieve the goal, the following tasks were completed: to determine specific characteristics of profession in extreme conditions and to distinguish the types of mental health difficulties of specialists of extreme activity profile; to analyze theoretical and methodological approaches as for counseling psychology of specialists of extreme activity profile, and to determine its place in psychology help; to identify general and specific requests of specialists of an extreme profile of activity and to develop psychological counseling on their basis; to develop criteria for evaluation the effectiveness of counseling psychology; to verify the effectiveness of proposed psychotechnology of counseling psychology of specialists of extreme activity profile and to identify dynamics and mechanisms of personality changes caused by its application. Psychotechnology of counseling is a set of system, holistic and algorithmic approaches, that includes psychological methods, rules, conditions, means and techniques and their use as interacting elements. The characteristics of specialists of the extreme activity profile which are transforming during counseling psychology and unleashing person's inner strength for self-development and self-realization are defined.
