The thesis is devoted to the problem of training future primary school teachers to use ICT in their professional activities. The state of the development of the problem of training future primary school teachers to use ICT in their professional activities is analyzed. The stages of primary school computerization (the experimental stage of introducing a propaedeutic course of computer science; the stage of integrating ICT into the process of teaching basic primary school subjects; the stage at which the subject “Computer Science” became an independent primary school subject; the stage of a comprehensive use of ICT during the educational process within all educational branches) are studied. The stages of the formation of pupils’ meta-subject ICT skills (the propaedeutic stage, which covers the period of a child’s studying in the first form; the practical stage – the period of studying in the second and third forms, the perspective stage – the period of studying in the fourth form) as well as the methods and means of their formation are specified.
