Essay

The thesis deals with the study of the phenomenon of national cooperative communicative behaviour (NCCB) of representatives of Ukrainian, Russian, Lithuanian and American (the USA) linguacultures from the standpoint of linguistic, cognitive and discursive dimensions. A new theoretical and methodological concept has been developed for linguistic, cognitive and discursive measurement of the parameters of the NCCB: from cognition, i.e. the study of the process of knowledge of the phenomenon of cooperation and its categorization, as well as the reflection of representations about cooperative nature in the minds of the carriers of a certain language, to discourse, i.e. the potential realization of the results of this knowledge as in mono-, as well as in intercultural communication. The investigation proposes a new definition of the NCCB as a cognitive, semiotic, discursive phenomenon, the constituents (sign constructs) of which are formed in the language / communicative consciousness of people, who represent a particular language culture, and exist in the form of (non)verbal components in a discursive dimension. They form a wide range of cooperative discursive situations, provided by the semiotic configuration of the corresponding practices.
