Analysis of references proved the necessity to modernize professional training of future specialists in physical therapy, ergotherapy to work with athlete’s health recreation, which consists in creation of a mechanism of the development of the system of professional training of academic and recreation personnel according to the demands of society. The structure of preparedness of specialists in physical therapy, ergotherapy to work with athletes’ health recreation has been theoretically substantiated. Structural components preparedness (motivation, cognitive, procedural, and personal) of future specialists in physical therapy, ergotherapy to work with athletes’ health recreation have been determined.
Theoretical and methodological basis of training of future specialists in physical therapy, ergotherapy to work with athletes’ health recreation have been substantiated for the first time.
Author’s concept of professional training of future specialists in physical therapy, ergotherapy to work with athletes’ health recreation has been established; the system of professional training of future specialists in physical therapy, ergotherapy to work with athletes’ health recreation that represents a complex of interrelated concept and target, theoretical and methodological, content, procedural, and criteria-diagnostics subsystems given in the form of a model has been developed and experimentally checked; pedagogical conditions of professional training of future specialists in physical therapy, ergotherapy to work with athletes’ health recreation (transformation of the content of professional training of future specialists in physical therapy, ergotherapy to work with athletes’ health recreation; creation of information environment for interactive cooperation of the subjects of educational process in a higher educational establishment; implementation of innovation educational technologies that promote formation of the ability of future specialists in physical therapy, ergotherapy to work in a multidisciplinary team of specialists in athletes’ health recreation; practice-oriented professional training of future specialists in physical therapy, ergotherapy with application of information and communication technologies) have been revealed and theoretically substantiated; content of the following subjects has been updated: «Fundamentals of Physical Rehabilitation», «Introduction to the Specialty», and «Physical Rehabilitation in Sports»; diagnostics toolset has been developed with use of information and communication technologies to monitor results of professional training of future specialists in physical therapy, ergotherapy to work with athletes’ health recreation.
Professional training of future specialists in physical therapy, ergotherapy to work with athletes’ health recreation is viewed as a process of a student acquiring qualification in «Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy» subject, which will enable them to work efficiently in a multidisciplinary team of specialists and channel their efforts to compensate functional abilities and prevent body motor dysfunction of people that have high results in sports on a professional level.
Preparedness of future specialists in physical therapy, ergotherapy to work with athletes’ health recreation s viewed as a purposeful result of a defined professional training that includes integral characteristics of a person, aspiration, motives, fixed and situational directives for active and goal-oriented actions regarding recreation of labor capacity of people who systematically do certain sports and take part in sports competitions.
Content, forms, methods and means of professional training of future specialists in physical therapy, ergotherapy in higher educational establishments; criteria (motivational and value, information and cognitive, creative and activity, personal), indices, and levels of preparedness formation of future specialists in physical therapy, ergotherapy to work with athletes’ health recreation; job analysis of a specialist in physical therapy, ergotherapy with consideration to demands of employers regarding effective implementation of rehabilitation activity have been improved.
