Object of the study: transformation processes in the international economic policy of countries under the influence of globalization; the purpose of the research: development of a holistic scientific concept of neo-protectionism in international economic policy under conditions of liberalization of world economic relations, as well as formulation of an integrative conceptual approach of application of neo-protectionism in the policy of economic development of Ukraine; research methods and equipment: methods of analysis, abstraction and synthesis, induction and deduction, system-structural method, hypothetical-deductive method, method of unity of historical and logical, method of idealization, methods of factor, structural and cluster analysis, methods of classification and systematic generalization, economic-statistical methods, methods economic-mathematical modeling, method of simulation modeling; theoretical and practical results: proposed multidisciplinary multicategorical approach to the definition of protectionism from the standpoint of theory and practice in the process of evolutionary development of international economic relations, as: "ideas", ideological principle, principle of the policy of economic development of the state in foreign economic sphere, state practice; the author's concept of neo-protectionism in international economic policy is substantiated, a multilevel typologization of neo-protectionism on specific grounds is proposed; developed a scientific and methodological approach to assessing international economic policy at macro- and meta-levels; the paradigm of international economic policy has been improved through the systematization of theories and concepts of international trade and economic policy; the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of international economic policy have been specified; the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of neo-protectionism, which is implemented at the meta-, macro- and meso- levels of international economic policy; the classification of sectors of the national economy according to the level of influence on the formation of the trend of economic growth and the needs for the use of state policy instruments of neo-protectionism; received further development of an interdisciplinary synthesis of scientific and methodological principles and interpretation of the conclusions of classical, neoclassical trade theories and the theory of the ratio of factors of production to the impact of free trade on the well-being of the population; the conceptual provisions for determining financial neo-protectionism as a tool for realizing the economic and security interests of the state have been clarified; the mechanism of international policy in the sphere of economic integration has been developed by isolating integration neo-protectionism as a tool of realization of economic, political and security interests of countries; theoretical and methodical approaches of estimation of use of system of tax and other preferences are distinguished; degree of implementation: developments implemented in the practical activities of the Committee on Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, State Enterprise "Export Promotion Office of Ukraine", the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the Department of Economic Strategy and Macroeconomic Forecasting of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Department of Strategy and European Integration of Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, NGO "Ukrainian Association of the Roman Club", Kyiv International Economic Forum, Department of Innovative Development of the Dnieper City Council, National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Auditing of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, in the educational process of the Mariupol State University, State Higher Educational Institution «Pridneprovsk State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture»; scope: improvement of institutional and regulatory mechanisms of neo-protectionism as a tool for realization of international economic policy of the world.
