Essay

In the work, the information competence of the individual is considered as an integral quality of the personality, aimed at the effective life in the information society. The structural-functional model of the information competence of the individual is developed and the component composition of its indicators is described, their psychological essence is revealed. A test questionnaire «Information competence of the individual» was created, which allows to determine the levels of development of indicators of information competence. The program of development of personal information competence is grounded and developed in order to approve the structural-functional model and to determine the main ways of its formation.
