Tsymbal L. Imperatives of intellectual leadership in the global economic environment

The dissertation analyzes and generalizes methodological approaches to the study of the phenomenon of intellectual leadership of national economies and the imperatives of its manifestation in the global economic environment. Identification of the mechanisms of intellectualization and the growth of the role of intellectual factors in the conditions of becoming a knowledge economy. The economic dimensions of global intellectualization are revealed on the basis of a three-stage assessment (resource level, level of intermediate results and overall progress). The influence of the intellectual component on the final macroeconomic indicators and the international competitiveness of national economies is investigated. The disposition of the countries in the global economic environment is determined, paradigmatic foundations of the effective involvement of national economies in the global processes of intellectualization have been formed. Four clusters of countries were distinguished on the basis of differentiation of countries by concentration level in the dominant sectors of the economy, which gave the opportunity to form models of their prospective development. Econometric modeling made it possible to develop a scenario forecast for Ukraine with an emphasis on the importance of the factors of intellectual leadership.
