Essay

The thesis is devoted to the development of theoretical frameworks of the urban mass public transit organization with the use of scientific approaches aimed at increasing the efficiency of transport in the automated planning and management conditions. Scientific approaches to the formalized description and assessment of the development degree of urban route networks have been worked out and models of its impact on the transportation performance and technical and economic indicators of urban passenger transport have been developed. The gravity modeling method of the OD-matrix elements in cities has been developed based on the use of the triangular statistical distribution as a function of gravity between transport zones. Models and algorithms for estimating the duration of passenger service in the city's transport passenger system and its components have been developed, taking into account the statistical uncertainty of the transportation process. The shortest path searching algorithms of passenger trips have been improved by taking into account the transfers on such trips. An optimization approach to the trip and turnover time calculation of transit vehicles on a city route is proposed, taking into account the transport operator and passengers' preferences. The developed methods, models and algorithms have been programmatically implemented within the framework of the created computer information-analytical system, which has been tested in the conditions of the public transit system in the large city.
