The dissertation investigates on the methodological, theoretical and technological levels the problem of training of the future competitive professional of municipal economy at the technical university. The essence of the competitiveness of the future professional of the municipal economy is specified as an integrated complex systemic characteristic of the individual that forms a unity of professionally and socially significant personality qualities representing the formation of professional direction, competence, mobility, and proficiency, raises the rating and professional demand (regarding the demands of employers among other competitors) on the labor market and generally has an impact on the professional status. The structural components of the competitiveness of the future professional for the municipal economy are distinguished: needs-motivational (motivation for professional realization, orientation to achievement, success and career development, adequate level of endeavor), cognitive-operational (professionally significant, socially important professional competences; mobility and activity in professional self-expression), reflective-evaluative (reflection of the quality of the process and the result of professional activity from the standpoint of market requirements; self-assessment, self-control, self-analysis of one's own professional potential, management of self-development and professional growth, understanding and evaluation of the level of one's own competitiveness, as well as the reasons that hinder its development.
The scientific and methodological system for training of the future competitive professional of the municipal economy (providing the purpose, tasks, principles, methodological approaches, structural components, stages of implementation, methods, organizational forms, criteria of formation, levels of assessment and results) is theoretically substantiated; the effectiveness of its implementation in the process of professional training of future professionals in the specified field is experimentally proved. In particular, the needs-motivational component should be formed through the introduction of a set of tasks to activate the motivational potential of the individual, working with a motivational vocabulary, having trainings on goal setting and their successful achievement; the cognitive-operational component is activated by a gradual introduction into the program of training of future professionals the academic disciplines, the content of which is adjusted in accordance with the actualization of the problem of competitiveness and possibilities of realization of the acquired competences, provided within the university environment; the reflective-evaluative component is trained using in the academic process and extracurricular activities the techniques aimed at forming the ability of the students to realize their goals, evaluate the level of readiness for professional realization, identify personal resources that can help in finding and obtaining a job, to achieve the adequacy in self-esteem of the level of competitiveness. It has been elucidated that the efficiency of formation of a complex of professional competences of future specialists is conditioned by the application of a modular (adding special topics, modules to the academic disciplines) and a supplementary (working outside the academic training activities) models of introducing information about competitiveness into the process of professional training of a specialist of the municipal economy.
The criteria and indicators of the competitiveness forming of the future professional are specified as motivational (motivation for professional training, motivation for success / failure and the need for achievement); cognitive-operational (formation of professional competences, foreign language competence, ability to adapt); personal (ability to creativity, independence, ability to run risks, sociability), and reflective-evaluative (reflexivity).
