Kopych R. Harmonization of fiscal policy in the European Union

The dissertation is devoted to research on fiscal policy external effects as an important element of fiscal policy harmonization within an economic integration entity, methodology of empirical testing of external effects by the largest European economies (Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands) upon the countries of European periphery, as well as approaches for the use of fiscal policy with stabilization purposes in such heterogeneous entity as the European Union, with a focus upon fiscal sustainability, specific features of the exchange rate regime and, consequently, selection of policy coordination tools and adequate institutional guarantees on the supranational level.
