Scientific paper holds a holistic analysis on the professional training of education management specialists in Central European countries (Bulgaria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic), discusses methodological approaches, external and internal factors of the professional training content formation, which creates background for specification of the professional development characteristics and trends in training the education management specialists. It substantiates the main development stages in professional training of the education management specialists in Central European countries in the second half of the XX - early XXI century; analyses scientific and methodological support to the professional development of education management specialists, curricula in the system of formal, non-formal and adult education in Bulgaria, Slovakia, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic, the conceptual model of professional training for education management specialists in Central European countries, the strategy of vocational training development in the Europe educational space, the promising directions for introducing the Central European countries’ constructive ideas into the national practice of vocational training of education management specialists; it carries out a prognostic substantiation for the professional development of education management specialists, presents scientific and methodological recommendations for the training system, retraining, advanced training and professional development of education management specialists in Ukraine, considers the progressive ideas of the Central European countries.
