Essay

The object of the research is the Polish historiography of the late XXth - early XXIth century. The subject of the research is the process of understanding by Polish scientists of key issues in the history of Ukraine in the first half of the XXth century, the activities of Ukrainian studies institutions, as well as leading trends, patterns and features of the accumulation and interpretation of historical knowledge of Ukrainian studies. The aim of the work is to study, systematize and analyze the process of studying the history of Ukraine in the first half of the XXth century. and the peculiarities of covering topical problems of the Ukrainian past in the latest Polish historiography. Results of the research: for the first time in Ukrainian historiography, a comprehensive analysis of the processes of studying the history of Ukraine in the first half of the XXth century has been carried out in the latest Polish historiography, the main achievements are summed up, issues that require further reflection are identified. The development of the latest Polish-Ukrainian studies in educational and scientific institutions of Poland is reproduced, its leading tendencies and features are revealed, the place and role of periodicals in the coverage of Ukrainian history are determined. The activity of Polish Ukrainists is studied, the actual aspects of the history of Ukraine in the first half of the ХХth century are indicated in the latest Polish historiography. Practical recommendations were made to promote the study of the history of Ukraine in Poland. Scope of use: thesis provisions can be used in solving problems related to topical issues of the Ukrainian past; when developing a strategy for the further development of Ukrainian-Polish scientific relations; in teaching and research work; in research on the history of Ukraine and Poland, Ukrainian-Polish relations, historiography, political science, historiosophy, methodology of history, source study and the like. The ideas and theoretical provisions of the study will be useful to officials, parliamentarians, politicians, public figures, etc.
