The purpose is studed armed violence as a factor influencing the functioning and change of political systems, which actualizes the functional and dynamic components of the political process. The object of research is armed violence as a socio-political phenomenon that is a powerful factor in the political process. Methods are holistic-system approach (world-system, structural-functional, conflict, socio-cultural, behavioral, geopolitical), the principles of objectivity, scientificity, complexity, logic and historicism. Scientific novelty is comprehensively analyzed, systematized and generalized theoretical ideas about the phenomenon of "armed violence" and its individual types. The proposed author's holistic-system approach revealed a clear correlation between the type of world system, remoteness from the center in the world economy, political organization of the state, living standards and internal armed violence, including a coup d'etat aimed at changing the leader. The results can be used to build a strategy to combat armed violence, to develop a stabilizing domestic and foreign policy, and to create and develop an effective program to resolve the military conflict that is currently a reality for our country.
