The dissertation research is devoted to substantiation of theoretical and methodical bases of technical preparation of future experts in information technologies under the conditions of project training. The study clarified the selection of the content of technical training of future IT professionals, which provided an opportunity to identify areas of its development, where the key methodological tool is the competency approach. The transition from a qualification model to a competency model, built for a future information technology specialist, involves linking the goals of education not only with the performance of a set of professional functions, but also with the integrated requirements for the outcome of the educational process. Competence approach in the process of technical training of future IT specialist in the project training involves the formation of information and technical competencies, the components of which are: information, which involves the future information technology specialist knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in using computer systems as the main hardware for the implementation of information technology; professional and practical, which determines the formation of the ability of the future specialist to solve a set of professional tasks related to technical issues; subject-oriented, determines the availability of thorough knowledge and skills in the subject area - computer systems. The practical achievements of the study are that: - developed an effective methodological system of technical training of future specialists in information technology in terms of project training and introduced it into the educational process of training future IT specialists; - improved the content and methods of teaching technical disciplines: "Electronics and circuitry", "Operating systems", "Computer systems", "Testing and repair of computer hardware computer systems, which is reflected in textbooks, guidelines, training and work programs; - developed educational and methodological support for technical training of future specialists in information technology in terms of project training, in particular, electronic training courses and some functional elements for the organization of various forms of student activity; training materials based on online services; multimedia and mobile-oriented resources; - for each of the educational technical disciplines a descriptive description of technical competencies that can be formed in the process of project training; - developed, identified and implemented tools for diagnosing the formation of technical competencies of future IT specialists (tests for disciplinary laboratory work, diagnostic tests, interdisciplinary practical tasks, case studies). The effectiveness and functionality of the developed methodology was confirmed by experimental verification of the methodical system of teaching technical disciplines of future specialists in information technologies
