Zaiats O. Global Dimensions of Competitive Force of International Integration Groupings’.

The thesis focuses on theoretical and practical aspects of the international integration groupings’ competitive force. The purpose of the research is to determine the establishment and development patterns of the international integration groupings’ competitive force, justification of hypercompetition development in the conditions of asynchronous disposition of the competitive force of all global economy players. The thesis considers the scientific problem, which is the vagueness of the general scientific understanding of international competitiveness at the macro-level. Based on the analysis of generalization and systematization of various definitions of the international competitiveness of the country the research suggests the introduction of the author's definition of the term “global competitive force of the country”, distinguishing a mega-level of competitiveness in international economics and the introduction of a new scientific term “international integration groupings’ competitive force”. The research systematizes the factors in developing flexible competitive force of the international integration grouping and defines their correlation with factors of global competitive force of Member States. The paper interprets the models of the country’s global competitive force to be used by integration groupings and it is stated that all determinants undergo significant transformation upon the country’s accession to the international integration grouping. The thesis develops a methodology for measuring the competitive force of the international integration grouping and based on it, the largest international integration groupings have been ranked according to their competitive force. In methodological terms, the developed methodology confirms the importance of international integration groupings as subjects of competitive force. In empirical terms, it allows to explain the nature of the participation of certain countries in international economic integration, to identify and analyze the competitive position of integration groupings in the global economy, contributes to a better understanding of current processes of distribution of competitive force. The conclusions and suggestions have been made on the prospects of Ukraine’s participation in international integration processes, taking into account the potential of its global competitive force.
