Dobrovolska V. Information and documentation support for the development of the socio-communicative space of Ukraine’s culture in the times of digital society

The dissertation comprehensively investigates the problem of information and documentation support of the modern socio-communicative space of Ukraine’s culture in the digital society times and outlines the prospects for the development of documentary digital systems of cultural heritage in the socio - communicative space of culture which corresponds to the urgent tasks of modern development of science. A review of scientific publications on documentation support of cultural management, theory of social communications and documentation support of culture as a communication system that connects governing bodies, institutions and organizations, creative individuals and groups that implement cultural activities, the results of which have become a theoretical basis in study of the socio-communicative space of Ukraine’s culture. The definition of the term "socio-communicative space of culture" has been introduced into scientific circulation, which is interpreted as a complex dynamic system that carries out not only the accumulation and distribution but also the production of a cultural product. The essence and content of the concept of "socio-communicative space of culture" are defined and the main components – infrastructural, semantic and subjective – are substantiated. Theoretical and methodological bases of research of socio-communicative space of culture with application of general scientific and concrete scientific approaches (of communication, analytical-summation, system, structure, model), and also integrated approaches are substantiated such as communication-systemic, communication-structural, communication-functional and system-functional. The state policy in the field of culture, the structure of the field of culture in Ukraine and its institutions are considered, the information and documentation support of the governing bodies in the field of culture is analyzed. The international experience of cultural policy regulation and creation of digital fund for cultural heritage documentation is covered. The formation of the public information image of cultural institutions, libraries, archives, museums in the social environments of the Internet is studied, the factor of social networks in the tasks of protection of the public information image of cultural institutions is characterized. The information resources of the Internet for documenting cultural processes in Ukraine and the world are analyzed. It was found that Wikipedia currently plays a key role among documentation services. The principles of formation of Ukraine’s digital cultural space are covered and the basic principles of digital cultural heritage preservation are substantiated. Criteria and priorities of selection of historical and cultural documentary heritage objects for digitization are established and generalized. The state of historical and cultural digital resource in Ukraine and means of its inclusion in the system of documentary regulation are characterized; the prospects of development of documentary digital systems and resources of cultural heritage in the socio-communicative space of Ukraine’s culture are outlined.
